NH: Plekti

So, this guy is Plekti, me and OttonandPooky's new character. He's the son of Alan and Ceola, he can see ghosts and he loves animals. He's also very kind and helpful, but often creepy and far-off.

Wow, another full-colour A4 picture. It took about 10 hours in total. I tried to count the layers of shading. I stopped somewhere at five because it was getting boring. Damn, I want to colour well without having to spend so long at it! Does anyone have ideas? I want smooth and colourful colouring, with enough space for details and enough depth, that takes no more than four hours.

Also, I hate leaves! I hate leaves so f**king much! Why the hell did I draw leaved bushes in the foreground?! Whyyy? Have I forgotten this abomination? Aaargh, why Quater, why.

At moments like these I envy folks with brushes. They just make a few dots and voila - they've got leaves! But not me, nuh-uh, I work with friggin' pencils and if I want leaves, I have to spend like, five minutes on each and every one of them in total, counting all the layers.
