WARNING: TURTLECEST
"Hey Donnie."
Something about Raph's tone made Don tear his eyes away from the computer screen. Eye ridges furrowed and hand spasmodically scraping against the door frame, Raphael seemed to be bothered by something.
"Yes?"
"I uh… got to read something. A book. And… I didn't really… Do ya know what's Schrödinger's cat?"
"Of course," Donatello replied. "A silent cat closed in a box. So long as you don't look inside, it is both dead and alive because there's no way of telling which is correct. Why are you asking me about it?"
"Like I said, I read a book…"
"What book?"
"Look Don, I just need to know something." Raphael gripped the door frame.
"What?"
"I… That cat. Does a person have a right to open the box?"
Donatello turned to his brother fully, leaning back in his chair. "That's an interesting question. I wouldn't expect it from you of all people."
Raphael shook his head. "Do ya?" he urged. "Do ya have the right to open the box if it means deciding the cat's fate? 'Cause if ya do and the cat's dead, then you killed it… 'Cause it had a chance before that, and now… it's just dead. So should ya open that box?"
Donatello rubbed his chin. "If I were you, I'd probably ask the cat."
Raphael stilled, eyes glazing. He chuckled. "Ask the cat, ya say."
"Why are you asking?" Donatello repeated.
Raph fidgeted with his sais. "I know how a cat can be both alive and dead. It's like… it's alive in my head, but in reality it might as well be dead. And if I let it out, if I open my head… it may die. So does a turtle have a right to do that?"
Slowly Donatello said: "I think I know what you mean."
Raphael looked at him hopefully. "Really? I don't have to say it out loud?"
Donatello shook his head. "I have the same cat in my head too," he smiled.
Raph heaved a sigh. Walking to Donatello, he bent over and hesitantly hugged him. Don returned the hug, savouring his brother's heat. After a few minutes he nudged him to sit on his lap.
Raphael buried his face in the hollow of Donatello's neck and winded his arms around Don's head. "This feels really good," he mumbled.
"Yeah," Don sighed. He rubbed his brother's shell in small circles and he watched as Raphael relaxed in response. Then the hot-head pulled away enough to gaze into Don's eyes.
"Touch my tenders," he all but whimpered, brushing his throat with his fingertips. Donatello tightened his arms around Raph and, gently, he planted a kiss on the side of Raphael's neck. The turtle sighed and moaned. Donatello kept kissing and nibbling the green flesh, encouraged by the sounds Raphael was making.
"We should take this to my bed," Don muttered.
"…And that was how Raphie became a mommy," Donatello finished his story with a wide grin.

“You get that tooth knocked out in a fight?”
Donatello paused. He already had a feeling this was going to turn into a regular morning ritual.
“I have diastema.” he answered simply as he placed his coffee mug down.
For a moment Don busied himself with his computer, fingers flying over the keyboard. Though as he cast a glance up at the larger turtle, who seemed to have once again found a spot for himself on the edge of his desk, he sighed. “Diastema is the natural gap between two teeth, and is not unusual among many mammals, mutants and-”
“Whoa, calm down bright eyes.” Raphael held up a hand e

He could hear them chanting his name.
Demanding his presence.
Even through the darkness they persisted, their voices falling into one tumultuous echo that never ended. They would not stop; refused to cease their endless praise. They loved him. Followed him. He was the hero.
“Raph!”
Raphael’s eyelids flew open, and he instantly found himself staring at his own reflection. He blinked, the brilliant flash of his emerald eyes sparkling in the dim, flickering light. The rest of his face was caught in stark shadows, the faint silhouette of his broad shoulders bristling as his fingers gripped the cold porcelain sink. He parted

Break and Bend : Diaphanous
“Leo, I think I should go to sleep. I don’t wanna be too tired for the tournament tomorrow.”
Leonardo blinked, pulling himself awake from his half drowsed state. He hadn’t realized just how exhausted he had been during the trek from Central Park back to his apartment earlier that night, his thoughts still swept up in ensuring Michelangelo felt as safe as he did warm. Forty minutes and one long shower later, the younger turtle now lay curled up against him as they nestled on his living room sofa, mindlessly staring at whatever silently played on the television.
“The…” Leo slowly blinked again, resis
